What is included in my registration?

In addition to your runner kit, you’ll receive a finishers medal, complimentary photos and an invitation to the post-run party!

Is the DC Batman™ Run, presented by Headsweats open to all ages?

Yes, the DC Batman Run Series, presented by Headsweats is for ALL superheroes of ALL ages!

How do I know if I’m registered?

After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email from RunSignUp.com.

Can I transfer my run number to another person?

Yes! You can transfer your bib to another person up until September 19. The person you are transferring the bib to will only have to pay a small $25 transfer fee. Find out how here.

Where should I park? And what about public transportation and ride sharing?

Parking is very limited! We encourage all participants to use public transportation to get to the event.

Public Transport: Take the Metro! Take the Red or Purple Line to Civic Center/Grand Park Station.

Can I run with my dog?

For the safety of all runners, we do not allow animals on the run course.

Which roads will be closed due to the race?

Please be aware of the following full road closures beginning at approximately 4:30 PM on Saturday, 9/21:

  • Spring Street, between Temple & 1st Street
  • 1st , between Beaudry and San Pedro St.
  • Hill Street, between 1st and 2nd
  • 2nd Street, between Figueroa Hill St.

*Please note, Spring Street between Temple and 1st Street will be closed from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Please expect some delays. Roads will open on a rolling basis as runners exit the areas of the course. All roads will be open by 7:30 PM.

Can I run with a stroller/jogger?

Strollers are discouraged. In the interest of safety for all participants, including your child, you will be asked to line up at the back.

Can someone pick my packet up for me?

Yes. They must have a picture of your photo ID.

What time does the event start?

The run starts at 6:00 pm on September 21, 2019, but you can arrive early at 1:00 pm to pick up your packet or register and enjoy the experience!

Please note packet pickup and walk-up registration will end at 5:30 PM

Are headphones permitted?

You may wear headphones. We ask that you keep the volume at a reasonable level for your own safety and out of courtesy for fellow participants. With the energy and excitement along the course, you won’t want to wear headphones!

Is there a course time limit?

Yes. Our time limit is set to ensure runners and walkers are protected from traffic and have the support they need to finish. Our 5k event has a 70 minute time limit, but that should allow for all levels to complete this event in time.

How do I get my run packet?

You must attend packet pickup from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Saturday, September 21

What is your bad weather policy?

It is our goal to ensure a safe event for all involved. We will not expose participants or the community to undue risk as a result of staging the event. The Batman Run Series, presented by Headsweats will take place rain or shine. However, when weather or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, we maintain the right to cancel the run. Less threatening conditions could result in an alteration of the course or run length to ensure safety for all. You can also consider purchasing our run insurance at checkout.

Is there a bag check on run day?

We’re sorry, this is not a service we provide at the present time.

Is the run timed?

This is a service we do not offer at this time.

Do you allow refunds?

All entries are final, there will be no refunds or deferrals.

Are there awards?

Awards will be given to top 3 men and women in each run.

What is the virtual run, and how does it work?

If you aren’t able to participate in person, you can still participate virtually.

To complete the virtual run, all that is needed is for you to run a 5K at any place, on any day and at any time that you choose.

It’s strictly on the honor system, so no need to submit your time to us. When you sign up for the virtual run, we will send you the awesome virtual package after our event takes place on September 21st in Los Angeles.
